Even in writing the title for this post, I misspelled Health as Heath at least 5 times before getting it right, a true testament to my mediocre relationship with health and my love affair with all things Heath (Ledger and bars).
Anyway, I care about my health and I'm pretty healthy, but I can definitely care more about my health - so that's what February is all about.
I suck at being consistent with most things in my life. I can't get up at the same time every day, I don't eat meals at the same time everyday, I barely crave the same foods. Anyway, little inconsistent old me decided it was time to form a routine. Almost every day for the month of February, I joined my beautiful roommate/ co-worker/ sister/ friend on her journey to the gym, aptly called "The 12."
Samantha and I would car pool together and drive into work around 6am every day. From there, we would leave work around 2:30, get to the gym, change and make it to the 3:00pm group class. I paid a gym fee for the duration of the month and completed as many workouts as I could squeeze in.
It was quite the learning experience as I'd never pushed myself to maintain a routine for that long. But I did it! The real struggle has been maintaining the routine after the fact.
With February over, I learned about creating and maintaining routines and I lost 3 pounds!
